iPilotFirst Aired: September 8, 2007; 8:30 pm Saturday on Nikelodeon
Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove), a thirteen-year-old student at Ridgeway Middle School, gets in trouble by taking the blame for her best friend, Sam Puckett (Jennette McCurdy), for 'Photodocking' their English teacher's, Ms. Briggs(Mindy Sterling), head to a photo of a rhinoceros. Carly is punished and is forced to spend her Saturday judging the school's talent show auditions instead of going to a concert of her favorite band, Cuttlefish. Carly decides to make Sam go with her because it was Sam's wrongdoing, not Carly's. So, the punishment had to consist of Sam too. They're friendship is shown strongly here.
When Carly goes to borrow her 26 year-old brother, Spencer's (Jerry Trainor), camera, she finds out that he made it into a sculpture of a squirrel. Because of this, she asks Freddie Benson (Nathan Kress), her tech-wiz neighbor who has a major crush on her, to tape the auditions. When Saturday comes, Freddie and the girls find most of the acts boring. After watching the audition of a boy who looks like Miss Briggs, Carly and Sam make jokes about her "crazy, pointy boobs," which according to the two friends could point anyone's eyes out. Freddie films this. Later that night, Carly and Sam check SplashFace (Parody of Youtube), the video-sharing website where Freddie posted the talent show auditions, and find out that Freddie accidentally uploaded the video of them joking about Miss Briggs which he claimed he deleted before uploading but accidentally uploaded it and not the one that he was supposed to. After the girls confront him, Freddie tries deleting the video, but the video couldn't be deleted until the next morning. The following Monday, Carly and Sam give a DVD of the auditions (with the comments omitted) to Miss Briggs, but she had already seen the video. Miss Briggs bans all the acts Carly and Sam nominated to be in the talent show. As Carly thought that it was unfair adults "control the world" and because they got a lot of comments praising them on SplashFace, she decided to create a web show, with her and Sam as hosts, and Freddie as their Tech Producer. Freddie comes up with the name "iCarly" and both girls agree with the name. For their first show, they invite all the acts they originally wanted to be in the talent show and have them demonstrate their bizarre talents. The show is an immediate success so Carly, Sam and Freddie have a "Crazy Hat" party to celebrate and the episode ends with Sam and Carly dancing in the middle of a huge crowd. |
iWant More ViewersFist Aired: September 8, 2007; iWant more Viewers was the second episode of iCarly on season one
Carly and Sam want to come up with a way to attract more viewers to iCarly and decide to make a competition out of it, with Spencer and Freddie on one team and Carly and Sam on the other. The losing team will have to touch the gross wart on the doorman, Lewbert.
Carly and Sam come up with the idea to create a colorful banner and get it shown on their favorite show, Seattle Beat, which has high ratings. Unfortunately, it begins to rain, causing the paint to run off and the banner is ruined before it can be seen on TV and is humiliated on it. Spencer, Freddie, Carly, and Sam eating a spaghetti dinner.The Sign Before MalfunctionFreddie and Spencer come up with the idea to put up a large electronic sign overloThe Sign After Malfunction, Oh Dearoking a major highway in downtown Seattle, that Spencer puts up. During the live iCarly broadcast, the sign is lit, reading "Please go online to iCarly.com." Unfortunately, because the sign is so bright, it causes a chain-reaction multi-vehicle crash to occur on the highway.Carly, Sam and Freddie urge Spencer to turn the sign off and while Spencer tries to turn the sign off, it malfunctions and all but nine letters of the sign blow out, causing the sign to read the message, "Pee on Carl." After the incident, Carly, Sam and Freddie read messages that viewers posted on the iCarly website who thought the sign mishaps were hilarious; (one even said that she almost peed herself from laughing so hard and that she loved to see Carly and Sam on Seattle Beat) Spencer is then brought home by the police, and one of the officers named Carl, takes offense at the "Pee on Carl" sign. The cops leave without pressing any charges, but instead let Spencer off with a warning. The two teams agree that since neither of their ideas worked out (although their mishaps ultimately may have gotten them more viewers anyway), both teams lost, so no one has to touch Lewbert's wart. In the end the four characters are leaving the Shay Apartment in order to eat pizza. |

After trapping Jake in the elevator doesn't work, Carly suggests that Freddie can edit his voice to a clearer tone, and it works. Carly is so happy that she gives Freddie a kiss on the nose. The next day, Jake says he saw the kiss, and Carly tries to tell him that "it was strictly nasal". After he gives Carly a thirty dollar gift card of Groovy Smoothie, the trio set off for their smoothies adventure. Grandpa Shay tells Spencer that he wants Carly to live with him in Yakima, as he thinks Spencer is too immature and irresponsible to take care of Carly after seeing the hammer incident online. iNevelFirst Aired: October 6, 2007
After Tasha, a mean girl at school, says that no webshow is cool unless it has been reviewed on Nevelocity.com,Carly tries to prove that their webshow is good enough by trying to get Nevel to review their website. When he invites her for an interview, Carly is very excited at first, but turns surprised when she finds out that he is an eleven-year-old boy. After Nevel flirts with her and even kisses her on the cheek, she smears tapenade in his face, and he promises she will "rue the day." Out of anger, Nevel writes a nasty review of iCarly although he said that he liked the show before. Carly, Sam, and Freddie try to force him to tell the truth with the help of Jeremy, or "Germy," (because Nevel hates germs) a kid in Ridgeway who sneezes all the time, but Nevel tricks Jeremy into releasing him by offering him twice as much as the iCarly gang pays him (without actually paying in the end).After their first plan didn´t work, Carly, Sam and Freddie they are surprised at the fact of not being able to defeat an eleven year old boy when they get a spark and decide to tell Nevel´s mom on him, who scolds him and sends him to his room to write an honest review. iSceam On HolloweenFirst Aired: October 20, 2007
It's Halloween and a letter addressed to Apartment 13B has been accidentally delivered to Carly and Spencer, so Carly heads downstairs to give the letter to Lewbert. On her way down there, she finds Freddie dressed in the Halloween costume that his mom made -- a witch's cloak, broom, and a wart. Downstairs, they give the letter to Lewbert who (after yelling at Freddie for making fun of his own wart) tells them no one's lived in Apartment 13B for 15 years because it's haunted. Mrs. Halberstadt, a longtime resident of the building, enters the foyer and Carly and Freddie try to ask her about Apartment 13B, but she can't hear them. Carly and Sam decide to do a special Halloween episode of iCarly from Apartment 13B.The gang prepare for their webshow, with Carly donning a queen bee costume, and Freddie dressing up as a witch (because his mom made him wear it) but Sam doesn't dress up. Sam picks the lock of 13B and they go in, and start broadcasting, promising to stay on the air all night, no matter what. The promise lasts only a few minutes before the lights go out, glass starts to shatter, and an angry voice begins yelling "Get out!" The girls scream and Freddie tries opening the door to the apartment, but the knob comes off. Sam tries using Freddie as a battering ram. Carly, Sam and Freddie take refuge in a closet, but are terrified by a disembodied clown's head they find. They head to the kitchen and Sam finds her hands covered in what appears to be blood. Soon, the door opens and a middle-aged man comes into the room, while Mrs. Halberstadt, his mother, comes out of the back room. The gang soon discover that Mrs. Halberstadt is completely deaf without her hearing aid turned on. The group works out that the "haunting experiences" are little more than Mrs. Haberstadt yelling at a bug ("Get out"), a spilled bottle of hair dye (blood on Sam's hands), a clown head telephone, a short-circuiting light switch and a kitten named Abigail (knocking over some glassware and scratching their legs). As for why they were told the apartment had been abandoned, Lewbert comes by to say it's because he's a jerk. |

iSpy A Mean TeacherFist Aired: November 3, 2007
After watching Ms. Briggs shouting at several students that are passing by in the hallway (ending in her throwing down and stomping on an orange offered to her by one well-meaning classmate), Carly becomes inspired to do an iCarly feature on "What Mean Teachers Do When They Aren't In School." Freddie buys a pie-shaped spy camera, with an obvious lens on the side, much to Carly and Sam's amusement. They tease him a lot about it and what's even more hilarious to them is that it came with an oversized spoon. Carly and Freddie sneak off to Ms. Briggs' house with the pie-cam to shoot a video of what she is doing in her free time. When a bee appears, and apparently is interested in the fake pie, Freddie panics because he is allergic to bees, and runs inside Ms. Briggs' house. Carly follows him, and they have to hide in a closet that turns out to be a shrine dedicated to Randy Jackson. They spend hours in the room and eat Randeos to pass the time. They call Sam for help and before they get ready to leave Freddie snags a bit of Randy Jackson cologne. The trio are then caught by Ms. Briggs. After Freddie trips on her bagpipes and accidentally breaks them, she scolds them and wants to suspend them and call the police. She offers to let them off the hook if she may appear on iCarly and play her bagpipes. Carly, Sam, and Freddie reluctantly agree. When Ms. Briggs appears on iCarly, the show starts losing viewers. Even worse is that it was their biggest audience yet by far (over 500,000 viewers), but Freddie manages to save it by playing funny videos on the green screen behind her back. The next day at school, students applaud Ms. Briggs and she thinks she's getting credit for her "true musical artistry." She notices Freddie has a nice cologne on him, which turns out to be some Randy Jackson cologne he 'stole' from the room Carly and he were stuck in. This ends the episode. |

iWill Date FreddieFirst Aired: November 10, 2007;
iCarly introduces a new feature -- called the Blab Cam -- where viewers can chat with Sam and Carly on the air. One of the first callers is a fellow Ridgeway Bulldog, named Valerie, who seems more interested in Freddie than Sam or Carly, so that the girls suggest the two should go on a date.
Mrs. Benson seems very excited with the fact that Freddie was having a first date and stated that she would love to have them over to her apartment and look at Freddie's baby pictures. However, Carly convinces Freddie's mother so that the date was set up at the Shay Apartment (which it was). Mrs Benson gets Freddie ready but in a rather dorky way and Sam and Carly get the back-up clothes and get Freddie ready for his date. Sam sets up cameras and both girls spy on Freddie's date. Freddie and Valerie have a good first date and become inseparable for the next week. Valerie then asks him to help her do a webshow on the same day as iCarly, causing Freddie to quit the show. He hires Jeremy as iCarly's new tech producer, but Jeremy messes up the show with his constant sneezing, and ends up sneezing a piece of tissue he stuffed in his nose at Sam's face. After the disastrous iCarly episode, Valerie admits to Sam that she was just trying to ruin iCarly and establish her own show as the best show on the web. She then offers Sam a place as her co-host. She said that she would call the web-show 'Val and Sam' or 'Sam and Val if she wanted to. Sam fakes interest, but immediately tells Carly about it, and they both give the news to Freddie. At first, he doesn't believe them, but when he confronts Valerie about it, she admits it. Freddie breaks up with her. HW returns in time for the iCarly webcast but unfortunately says that he didn't say he was coming back. Surprised, the girls ask why and Freddie says that they don't treat him like he is important to the show however, Carly does and Sam doesn't. After Sam tells him he is important to iCarly, he returns as iCarly's tech producer. Without Freddie's help, Valerie fails miserably with her show, The Valerie Show. They end up eating watermelon with a spoon. |

iDon't Want To FightFirst Aired: March 1, 2008;
Carly gives Sam an iCarly T-shirt to celebrate their anniversary since they met (a flashback scene shows both Carly and Sam as young children). Sam promises to get Carly tickets to the Cuttlefish concert, but the tickets has been sold out, so Sam trades the shirt to Rip-Off Rodney in exchange for the two tickets, as Rodney finds value in iCarly. This angers Carly and the two girls fight it out so much that iCarly is ruined.Freddie doesn't receive any advice from Spencer, who has been making a fish feeding device for his goldfish. He eventually takes control of iCarly by making the girls tie up their hair in ponytails and tying them to ropes. He then tells them to tell the story from their point of view to the iCarly viewers, who get to vote after the show. If either girl interrupts, their ponytail will be yanked, and according to Freddie, hard. However, when Carly interrupts Sam's testimony, Freddie allows it because he "loves her," thus resulting in both girls yanking each other ponytails by pulling the other rope. After the show, Freddie counts the votes, but he has put up three options instead of two, (Carly or Sam being right), the third one being that they are both acting dumb and should just make up. The third option wins by a landslide, and after Sam starts to cry, both girls apologize to each other.In the end, Spencer demonstrates his automatic fish feeder, which involves the setting of a ball at the top every day, but when Carly reminds him that he still has to reset it every day, he is depressed and goes to bed. Carly then brings the goldfish back to the pet store. |

iFenceFreddie gets tired of tagging along with Carly and Sam to girly places (e.g. Build-A-Bra and Glitter Gloss), so Spencer takes him to the fencing studio. Freddie shows a gift for fencing, and Spencer puts him up for a match against Spencer's arch-rival, Doug Toder. While training with Freddie for the match, he completely forgets that the Dorfmans, the eccentric relatives of him and Carly, are supposed to visit them soon, and he leaves Carly to fend for herself.
Carly suffers through an evening with the Dorfmans alone, and is angry with Spencer for fencing while she suffered. She tells Mrs. Benson about it, who gives Freddie a tick bath and forbids him to fence any more. When Carly tries to talk Mrs. Benson into letting Freddie fence again, so he could have some guy time with Spencer, Carly and Freddie learn that Freddie's great-grandfather had an obsession with fencing and that all Bensons have a natural talent for it. He led a troop of gifted fencers called The Fencin' Bensons. Both kids believe this to be a lie. Freddie still manages to talk her into letting him fight Doug Toder, by threatening to never make another puzzle with her again. Toder, finding Freddie to be more than a match for him, cheats by pushing Freddie to the floor with his elbow. Mrs. Benson, appalled at this, gets angry and takes him on herself. She proves she really has talent for fencing, as she manages to fend off Toder and his two of his sidekicks simultaneously and drives them out of the fencing studio. Once back at the Shay apartment, the trio looks up the Fencin' Bensons, and see that Marissa's story was true.Spencer and Freddie fencingMeanwhile, Sam and Freddie have engaged in a bet that Sam can finish a book in a week, with the loser having to do The Ushe bet, (spraying a hose down one's pants to make it look like they've wet themselves). Sam chooses The Penny Treasure and becomes interested in books for the first time, comparing it to "TV in her head." When she finishes the book in time and can answer a random question Freddie asks her about it, Freddie reluctantly admits she won the bet and pays his debt. |
